2001:
I spent a good part of the summer of 2001 getting permits for building a garage. A person on the zoning board did not want me to block her view when she drove by. I am not kidding that was the reason she was giving me a hard time. In the end, I got my permit and the foundation was dug on 16 November 2001 and the footings poured on the 20th.
2002:
The floor was poured on May 24th, 2002 and I began construction.
Matthew and my Dad were both a big help on this project.

The breezeway is an odd shape and required lots of custom work.
The Shingle team of Paul Sacco, Mike Sullivan, Dad, brother Don, and son Matthew.
We did have one incident, I placed a ladder just below one of the roof jacks. At one point my Dad was on the roof jack, then Don came up the ladder and dumped a bundle of shingles on the plank. The roof jack let go and Dad slid down until the plank hit the ladder and stopped. Dad was not too happy with me, since I missed the rafter with the roof jack nail, he chewed me out pretty good.
Late Fall 2002
Winter in 2002 arrived, the building was covered but had to go the winter with just Tyvek.
2003:
I spent the summer getting the building ready for siding, installing the electric, windows and doors.
September 2003, ready for siding.
By the end of September 2003 the garage was ready for siding.
Siding by Al Lemay Construction
The siding was done on November 18th, just in time for winter.
