We planned for a fire place when we put in the foundation.
I am not a mason so I contracted my friend and mason, Kevin Armstrong, to do our fire place.

| First Fire 17Dec2011 |
We had our first fire on the 17th of December, the Armstrongs did the job in less than 3 weeks.

| We were ready for Christmas. |
April of 2012: we put on the finishing touches.

| Mantle complete |
We finished it on the inside with Slate and I built the mantle using what material I had left from our door and window trim.
